One day, Jesus entered Jericho accompanied by a vast crowd. Zacchaeus, driven by curiosity to meet the famous teacher he had heard so much about, tried to get closer. However, he faced two major obstacles:

large crowd surrounding Jesus and blocking the way.

His own short stature, which prevented him from seeing over the people.
Upon reaching that point on the road, Jesus stopped, looked up at the branches of the tree, and called Zacchaeus directly by name:
Surprised and overcome with joy, the tax collector quickly climbed down from the tree to welcome Him into his home.
Jesus’s unconditional acceptance and love deeply moved Zacchaeus’s heart within his own home. In response to this encounter, and of his own accord, he stood up and publicly declared a radical change in his life.
Our children learned that when Jesus dwells in our home, we ourselves make the decision to change our lives to please Him, regardless of the obstacles that arise along the way. In addition to this, the children enjoyed a delicious snack.
