God, in His infinite mercy, has allowed us to continue reaching different corners of the city, and this weekend He brings us to El Codito. We don't begin with everything we need, but we do begin in the name of God, firmly believing that He will bring the blessing. We go with a heart willing to share His Word with each child, sowing in them seeds of faith, love, and hope that will grow over time. We trust that, as we continue walking hand in hand with Him, we will reach many more places where His light and truth transform lives.
In our first meeting, we took the children on a journey to the beginning of everything, when nothing existed and God began to create. We told them how, with just His voice, He made light appear, separated the sky from the earth, formed the seas, filled the world with plants, animals, and stars... and, most especially, He created us. We discovered together that everything God made is perfect and good, that each of us has a purpose, and that we must care for His beautiful creation.
The snack was a delicious cheese sandwich that sweetened the afternoon and filled the children with smiles.
